Zoha’s Weaving World

Where Time-Honoured Techniques Meet Contemporary Craft.

At ZOHA, every rug is more than a product, it's a quiet collaboration between legacy and design. Inside our weaving studio, 5,000+ skilled artisans transform ancient techniques into contemporary works of art. Each rug begins with a method, a rhythm, a human touch, resulting in a piece that holds history beneath every thread.

The Loop of Legacy
(Tibetan Weaving)

An ancient technique born in the Himalayan highlands, this method uses a loop-and-rod structure to create dense, resilient textures. Artisans wrap yarn around metal rods, forming loops that are later cut to reveal a soft, rich pile. The result? A meditative, minimal rug that carries the quiet soul of mountain tradition.

The Knot of Kings
(Hand-Knotted Persian)

One knot at a time, one line after another — this is the most intricate and time-intensive of weaving techniques. Each knot is tied by hand, often in the millions, creating heirloom pieces of remarkable detail and durability. Rooted in Persian tradition, this weave reflects patience, royalty, and legacy in every inch.

The Crafted Curve
(Hand-Tufted)

Modern yet handcrafted, this technique uses a tufting tool to inject yarn into a canvas with speed and precision. It allows bold patterns and plush finishes to take shape with creative freedom. Ideal for expressive designs and contemporary homes, this method balances efficiency with artistry.

The Rhythmic Loom
(Handloom Weaving)

Woven on pit looms using coordinated hand and foot movements, this method is defined by its harmony. The loom becomes an extension of the artisan, producing rugs that are structured, balanced, and soft underfoot. Every thread echoes the rhythm of generations past.

The Silent Geometry
(Flat Weave - Horizontal & Vertical)

With no pile and a clean, reversible surface, this technique is a study in symmetry and structure. By interlocking weft and warp yarns horizontally or vertically, artisans create light, versatile rugs defined by quiet precision. It’s minimalism at its most meaningful.
